Eurobrouwers is Schiedam’s first brewpub and the largest beer garden in the region with a terrace that covers no less than 2000m2. In the coming years, this innovative brewery and restobar concept will be located on the glass factory site in Schiedam, a unique raw location in the heart of the Distillers District.
Previously, large jenever and beer brands were produced here. Now Schiedam beer is brewed in this location with a raw industrial hall with a mega terrace and indoor and outdoor kitchen.
Eurobrouwers is the new child of the Double Trouble group, the entrepreneurs behind Café Marseille and Poing Arcade in Rotterdam. Read more about this new hotspot below!

European beer tradition
Eurobrouwers embraces its name and identity as a tribute to the rich European beer tradition and beer culture. Beer halls where people sit at long tables, beer gardens, European and Central European cuisine, large wooden barrels with beer, classic French brasseries, simple classic dishes, atmospheres and Europe’s old culture in a broader sense.
At Eurobrouwers everything revolves around enjoying carefully brewed beers. Head brewer Coen Wooldrik has put together a wonderful selection, which you can taste in small printed glasses.
Do you prefer a larger glass? No problem, choose from medium or large glasses, directly at the bar where an extensive tap wall shows off a varied range of beers, both draft and bottled.
Large and small dishes
The kitchen offers a varied selection of large and small dishes. During the summer, the BBQ is central, with dishes such as Polish Kielbasa sausages, BBQ Chorizo, Chicken Kiev (proceeds from this dish go to Ukraine), grilled white asparagus, BBQ watermelon and grilled clams, razor clams and mussels in wine with French fries and sour mayonnaise.
Also nice: every Sunday Eurobrouwers serves Zeeland oysters for one euro, in combination with beers. This is a nod to the Rotterdam sister of Eurobrouwers, Café Marseille, where every Sunday is oyster day.
Own brewing installation in a unique part of Schiedam
The brewing installation is located directly behind the bar and, together with the wooden barrels that are maturing, forms a real trigger that enhances the feeling of craftsmanship. And that craftsmanship fits in nicely with the identity of this unique part of Schiedam.
Eurobrouwers is surrounded by famous Schiedam distilleries such as Nolet, De Kuyper, Onder de Boompjes and Loopuyt. The jenevers can also be found in the range, but in combination with Eurobrouwers beer, the kopstoot (a shot and a beer)!
Modular catering concept and upcycled materials
The current location of the Eurobrouwers brewpub is temporary. In the coming years, De Glasfabriek will be transformed into a living and working area with more than 700 homes, workplaces and restaurants. In the meantime, several young artists, designers and a wine bar have settled here, and events are regularly held here. Eurobrouwers is the very first catering concept with kitchen to open its doors within De Glasfabriek.
Due to the temporary nature of the location, the team behind Eurobrouwers has opted for a modular catering concept that is easy to move. Almost exclusively upcycled materials are used. The bar and brewery were built entirely with residual materials from a restaurant that recently closed its doors.
The brewing installation has been taken over from a German craft brewer who stopped using it, used tables and chairs have been given a new look, even the tap tanks have been upcycled from a former restaurant.
Due to the limited investment and independence from large breweries, it is possible for Eurobrouwers to offer its beers for a reasonable price, so that the place remains accessible to the widest possible audience.
Cheers! Can you soon be found at Eurobrouwers for a kopstoot (a shot and a beer)?
