1. Supermercado
Nachos, empanadas, mini tacos, burrito bowl, sweet potato fries… Does this sound like a dream? It’s not! This, and more, is what you can order at the Mexican Supermercado. Personally, I was mostly familiar with this place because I danced there ’till early in the morning when I was young (sob).
But really, it has become a wonderful place to eat. Obviously, Supermercado has been around for a while, but in my opinion it’s worth it to put it in the spotlight again. Both the mega cheerful interior and the great service brings you in a good mood. In addition, there is enough comfort food supplemented with delicious drinks. So are you planning an evening with your amigos? Vamos!

2. Alfredo’s Taqueria
Most locals in Rotterdam are familiar with the Instagrammable Alfredo’s Taqueria. Here you can get Mexican street- and comfort food, but it’s also the place to be if you’re in search for some tasty cocktails. In their Bar Azul you can sit back and order the San Luis Xress or the Alfredo’s Margarita. They also offer delicious homemade lemonades, which are perfect on hot summer days.
And did you know they have an outside area at Alfredo’s? This urban garden in the heart of Rotterdam is inspired by the Mexican beach of Tulum.

Antojitos, tacos, enchiladas and more…. Yum! Kua is an authentic Mexican Taco Bar in Rotterdam where you can eat all kinds of delicious Mexican dishes. Their concept is simple; it’s the place for taco’s, beer, tequila and refreshing cocktails. And of course the Mexican vibe at this hotspots immediately brings you in a good mood.

Popocatepetl is located in the lovely Oude Haven. On their menu you can find lots of delicious dishes: fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, tacos, Mexican burgers and all sorts of bites to share. On sunny days you can sit outside on their terrace and order lunch, such as a Mexican hotdog, Huevos rancheros, various delicious melts…
Did you know that Popocatepetl completely redesigned their interior in 2017? Now it’s a bit more classy, modern, with subtle Mexican details. So if you haven’t been there for a while you should definitely go and enjoy their good food and Instagrammable interior.

Good Mexican food, and fast! That’s what it’s about at Salsa Shop in Rotterdam. Here they make freshly made, quick Mexican meals with natural ingredients. So don’t expect unhealthy fast food, but good food that is both quickly made and very affordable!
