De Grote Schijn 2023
After three successful editions, De Grote Schijn returns to Rotterdam’s Kralingse bos during the autumn holidays. Experience a two-kilometer walk where the forest comes alive with whispering trees, remarkable light projections and mesmerizing sounds.
Once again, the beauty of nature takes centre stage in the Kralingse Bos, which once again serves as the enchanting backdrop for this fourth edition.
Behind every tree lies a surprise, ranging from colourful explosions on the foliage to a ballet of jets of water and glowing blades of grass. The installations combine principles from physics, electricity, optics and psychoacoustics, with a touch of creativity. Ticket sales have already started!

Dates and time
De Grote Schijn will take place this year from 12 to 29 October, during the autumn holidays, in the Kralingse Bos in Rotterdam. Visit this special light show from 6:45 PM to 11:00 PM.
To avoid queues at the entrance, De Grote Schijn works with time slots of 15 minutes. After choosing a day, choose a time. You can enter during those fifteen minutes. Would you rather not be tied to a time slot? Then it is also possible to buy a flex ticket.
