Huis Sonneveld

Jongkindstraat 12, 3015 CG Rotterdam

For anyone who loves design and architecture, the Sonneveld House in Rotterdam is worth a visit. This villa is one of the best preserved houses in the style of Het Nieuwe Bouwen.

This detached villa was designed in 1933 by the Brinkman and Van der Vlugt architectural firm on behalf of Albertus Sonneveld, one of the directors of the Van Nelle factory. The result is a light, spacious house with many balconies and windows. The interior? This mainly comes from the Gispen company, with some pieces specially made for the Sonnevelds.

The house is now open to visit. Discover Het Nieuwe Bouwen here and be inspired!
