On Monday the 27th of April the whole of the Netherlands turns orange and we massively celebrate the birthday of our King Willem-Alexander. We also celebrate King’s Day in Rotterdam in a big way and this year even extra big, because Willem-Alexander is coming to celebrate his birthday in our very own city!

Are you looking for the best festivals during King’s Day in Rotterdam? Then you’ve come to the right place. Below we share all parties in our city during King’s Day and King’s Night (the night before Kings’s Day). A number of these festivals are completely free, so skipping a party because you are broke is not a good excuse…

Keep in mind that the tickets go really fast. Lots of early bird tickets are already sold out!

1. Oranjebitter 2023

You can join Oranjebitter again in 2023. Once again they’re tackling King’s Day in a big way in the Roel Langerakpark. This year they have no fewer than six stages, hosted by Modular Rotterdam and Yardbird, with Bound45 and Gieterij ‘T Swaentje also included for the first time this year.

In addition, you can play a lot of games during this King’s Day festival, such as around the table, take a seat in the familiar Ferris wheel and there are a lot of food trucks where you can fill your stomach.

Are you coming from outside Rotterdam? For €5, you can buy a shuttle bus ticket from Rotterdam Central.
