Arzu on the Bergweg in Rotterdam North should not be missing from this list! In their cozy shop they sell the most delicious fluffy pancakes.
In total you can order 18 different types of pancakes and they are so tasty. From Nutella, apple pie and Oreo to shawarma (with vegetable shawarma and cheddar cheese), hummus and Popeye (with spinach and feta cheese).
Arzu’s pancakes are known among most Rotterdammers, so you usually have to wait for a table (especially on weekends). But it is well worth the wait!
TIP: take a box of Arzu’s food bars with you after your breakfast, the product that started it all for Arzu. In 2015, she started selling these sweet treats on the Swan market before opening her own business. Be warned: you won’t be able to stop eating them!

Breakfast in Rotterdam HQ is located in Spullen voor in je Huis (meaning “stuff for in your home”), a second-hand shop full of furniture, plants and other items. In a short period of time, Breakfast in Rotterdam HQ became a great success and the breakfast shop is now indispensable in Blijdorp.
Their colourful menu features a large selection of breakfast dishes. Try their delicious Avo Smash or the Chia Maddness, our favourites! In addition to the standard hot and cold drinks such as coffee and orange juice, you can also choose from ‘more special’ drinks such as a matcha latte, iced coffee and homemade iced tea.
All the furniture in their breakfast shop is for sale by the way. So if you happen to sit in a nice chair, you can immediately take it with you after breakfast.

4. De Brunch Club

The name says enough of course! At De Brunch Club in Rotterdam you can order brunch, lunch and breakfast all day long. Their menu includes vegan, vegetarian and organic dishes.
Order classics such as the Avocado Smash and Eggs Benedict or more unique dishes such as the Upside down smoothie bowl and bagel French toast. They also have a brunch platter with their tastiest dishes.

5. Mecca
You can enjoy the tastiest coffee specialties at this beautiful shop on the Noordsingel. For example, order a delicious sesame iced latte on a sunny day and take a seat on their spacious terrace.
Mecca also serves special breakfast dishes, with inspiration from the Middle East. For example, the changing menu currently includes a delicious dish with labneh (savoury yogurt dip) with egg. Definitely worth a try!

6. Man met Bril Koffie

At the ‘head quarters’ of Man met Bril Koffie in Rotterdam Noord, you can also enjoy breakfast in addition to their delicious quality coffee! They even have an all day breakfast and lunch menu with treats like a vegan chia bowl and a breakfast bunn, which consists of an egg muffin, avocado and spinach sandwich.
If you get there early (before 10:00) you get the extensive board with the breakfast bunn, croissant, orange juice and of course black coffee for €6.66. After ten o’clock you can still order it, but then it will cost you €10.50.
