It’s time for a round-up of the newest hotspots in Rotterdam. We love to keep you (and ourselves) up to date about all the new, cool places to visit in our city.

Recently, a lot of amazing new hotspots in Rotterdam have opened up. I’ve listed 9 new hotspots that are definitely worth a visit. From new vegan hotspots to a new burger restaurant, in this article you can find it all! Enjoy. 😉

Read our latest update with 14 new hotspots in Rotterdam.

1. By Ami Urban Bistro

By Ami Urban Bistro, a modern urban bistro with Internationale allure, just opened up a few months ago on the Kop van Zuid and is already one of our favourite hotspots in Rotterdam. The food here is colourful, creative and of course delicious and we can basically say the same about their very Instagrammable interior.

Another big plus about By Ami is that they think about the environment and try to be as sustainable as possible with honest and responsible products. In addition they don’t use gas, but Big Green Egg BGG and no plastic straws but paper. They really set an example!

What can you expect at By Ami? Go here for coffee, colourful matcha drinks, lunch, (shared) dinner and their ‘high’ arrangements. Basically, everything but breakfast! And yes, they do have vegan and vegetarian options. 🙂

2. Dumbo

Noel Deelen and Uriah Arnhem, known as the Rotterdam based creative duo Venour, and Issam Yagoub, opened up a unique new vegan hotspot in Rotterdam. Visit this very recently opened restaurant for a mix of street, chique and art. The name Dumbo is inspired by a former industrial area and artists’ enclave in New York called Dumbo District and by the magic elephant Dumbo.

Dumbo is definitely worth a visit. Here you can eat creative plant based meals and drink unique cocktails in a very eccentric setting. With Marnix Benschop in the kitchen, a creative and unconventional chef, you know you’re in for something special!

Next to their delicious plant based meals, they organise interesting readings, meet-ups and unique workshops about food, sport and sustainability. But that’s not all… They also sell honest, sustainable and fancy products such as clothes, bags and cruelty free make-up.

5. Mr. NonNo

The recently opened Mr. NonNo doesn’t have a specific style, but is based purely on the passion and love of food. Their menu exists out of dishes that are inspired by the travels of the owners, and it includes vegan and vegetarian options.

Mr. NonNo has a relaxt vibe where everyone can feel at home. Whether you are looking for a place to work, study, relax or play board games with friends. In short, you can describe Mr NonNo as a laid-back food and coffee bar where everyone is welcome!

This extravagant burger isn’t on the menu at his recently opened burger restaurant in Rotterdam, but you can find other very unique burger creations at Diego’s. Such as their Bugles Burger with hot cheese sauce, their vegan Beyond Burger and other Diego’s classics. And let’s not forget delicious fries, desserts, beers and even champagne.

At Vandal they serve the brilliant fusion of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, beautiful cocktails and selected wines.
